What is SUNNY M Café known for?
SUNNY M Café is known for a changing drink program in Richmond: rotating coffee, matcha, tea, selected beans, and rare releases when available. The focus is not a fixed menu. It is what is tasting good today.
Do you serve rare auction coffees?
Yes. SUNNY M Café sometimes features selected rare auction-lot and competition-level coffees, including coffees connected to Best of Panama, CGLE, and other international coffee auctions when release timing, stock, and roast condition allow. Availability changes by day and release; please ask in-store for what is brewing today.
Do you offer hand-brewed pour over coffee?
Yes. We offer hand-brewed pour over coffee using rotating single-origin beans, rare auction-lot coffees, and selected coffee releases. Our pour over selection changes regularly based on availability and roast condition.
Do you have rotating espresso?
Yes. We usually serve one featured espresso at a time, and it changes frequently. Our espresso may come from specialty roasters around the world or from SUNNY M releases, with styles ranging from bright and fruit-forward to sweet, deep, and classic.
What should I order if it is my first time visiting?
For your first visit, we recommend asking our barista for today's featured espresso, a hand-brewed pour over, or a ceremonial-grade matcha drink. If you are curious about rare coffees, ask what auction-lot or limited-release coffee is available today.
Do you serve ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha drinks?
Yes. SUNNY M Café serves ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha drinks as part of our core drink program. Our standard matcha is from Shizuoka, and upgraded Wazuka matcha options may be available in several selections on dedicated matcha menus or seasonal features.
Do you have drinks for guests who do not usually drink black coffee?
Yes. We offer milk-based espresso drinks, matcha lattes, and approachable options for guests who prefer something smoother, creamier, or naturally sweeter than black coffee.
Do you serve desserts or food with coffee?
Yes. We offer a focused selection of items to pair with coffee and matcha, including dacquoise desserts in rotating flavors and limited Japanese egg salad sandwiches. Availability may vary by day.
Do you sell coffee beans to take home?
Yes. We sell SUNNY M coffee beans for home brewing. Availability changes by release, and selected coffees may also be available through SUNNY M Specialty online.
Do you serve small-batch coffees roasted by SUNNY M?
Yes. We serve selected small-batch coffees roasted by SUNNY M. The lineup changes by release, so please ask what is available when you visit.
Is SUNNY M Café connected to SUNNY M Specialty and SUNNY M Lab?
Yes. SUNNY M Café is our Richmond café and tasting location. SUNNY M Specialty is our online coffee release platform, and SUNNY M Lab documents our roasting research, coffee observations, and methodology.
